A collection of tidbits from my journal entries as I spend time in Bangladesh on a Fulbright Scholarship. Although I journal everyday, my blog is updated weekly with things that I really want to share with friends, family, and community. My time here will be spent learning Bengali (3 months), and performing research on the transportation infrastructure in the city of Dhaka (9 months.)

Hey Donald Katz, hope you had a great time in BD. By the way do you happen to have a electronic copy (PDF) of the New Dhaka STP? Thanks in advance. (BTW, I found this blog from your posts in skyscrapercity.com)
Salaam
I have been reading your whole blog from yesteday until now with great interest.
I am a swedish woman currantly living in sweden. I am married to a bangladeshi man since 1995, we have four children.
Our plan and dream is to move to Dhaka, Mohammadpur in year 2010.
It was really interesting to read about the daily life in Bangladesh, since I never been there myself. But I have been to India and Sri Lanka before I got married....
I hope you write more about your personal opinon about living in Bangladesh, and if you could consider living there permanently?
Thanks for interesting reading!
